Getting in the Flow

There’s a lot of discussion about what makes life work best.  Is there a secret or magic?  What about the Law of Attraction?  Is it secular beliefs or spiritual beliefs? Is it being fully present in the moment or exploring the possibilities of the future? The options are, literally, limitless.  After many years of reading, studying and observing, and then trying to make sense of all the information that is out there (that I have found and had the time to read), I have come to the conclusion the answer is a simple YES.

Now you may be thinking that I have spent too much time considering this and have slipped a cog in the process.  I can understand that reaction, because I thought that myself when I concluded that yes was the answer.  But give me a moment to explain.

First of all, I noticed a pattern in the different approaches to finding your best life, or making you life flow with ease.  It all starts with us individually.  Every approach begins with me/you.  They all talk about the way we think and talk.  Is there consistency in our wants and our words and, even further, in our words and our beliefs?  Do your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and actions all match?  If the answer is yes, then you are definitely in the right neighborhood.  You must be certain that all of those things are in agreement though.  If you say, “I really want ______,” but you don’t belief it can or will really happen, then you are not in the neighborhood.  If you believe you want something and even say it out loud with meaning, but you take no action toward that goal, then you are not in the neighborhood.  If you say you want something, but have no particular emotional response to that idea, then you are not in the neighborhood.  As you can tell, we need to pay attention and be honest with ourselves as we are investigating what we want.

I have come to the conclusion that all the different approaches that I have read and heard work.  They all share the fundamental idea that our thoughts, feelings, words and actions need to be honest and harmonious. Different approaches work for different people, because there is no “one size fits all” approach to life.  One technique will work for me, but you may need a really different technique to get the results I got from the first one.  So, there is a secret and, possibly magic.  It can be secular or spiritual.  The LOA is real.  Simply put, as long as you are making an effort to get your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and actions all in sync, you are moving in the right direction.  Once you get them all together, you will find life works much more easily.  Keep in mind, simple does not mean easy and we will explore that next time.

Have a wonderful day!
