Some Final Words on Private Practice

I have tried to answer some of the questions that I get asked about having a private practice.  This is a few final words and a brief summary.

Make a business plan and know what you want to put in and get out of your business.

Determine what and where you can establish streams of income.  Use your specialties wisely and maybe add some new skills.

Be available to your clients and to grow your business, but also value your personal time.  We work to live, we don’t live to work. And if you love what you do, you’re not really working!

Never forget you deserve to be paid and don’t be afraid to ask for money!

Pay attention to how your business can work for you as much as you are working in your business.  Will you get opportunities that you may not have thought about along the way?  Probably!  Be open.

Be flexible and go with what is going on in the world.  Be ready to make changes as needed to remain viable.

One of the things I like the best about my practice is that no two days are the same!  I enjoy the variety of what I have created and don’t mind the risks!

Always remember to have fun!  If what you are doing isn’t fun, then you need to assess what’s not fun and take action to improve it.  Life is too short to do anything you really don’t enjoy doing!

Please don’t hesitate to ask questions or contact me if I can help!  Best wishes in your ventures, whatever they turn out to be!!
