Tools of the trade

No matter what line of work we are in, we all have tools that we use.  As a college professor, I use the internet, projectors, handouts, PowerPoints, etc.  As a counselor, I use assignments, art supplies, questionnaires, etc.

I am going to be uploading some templates of my handouts that I use with clients on the members tab.  There are also going to be PowerPoint presentations and other items that you can take and use in your own way and in your own practice.

Starting in January, I will have a monthly theme that I will use to choose items to place on the member pages and blog about throughout the month.  I invite you check it out, if you’re interested and I believe you will find things that you can use in your own work that will make things a bit easier or at least give you something new to use or think about.

Some of the upcoming topics include:  Being in Private Practice, Dealing with Aging, Dealing Death/Grief, Incorporating Holistic Tools into Your Practice, and Spirituality to name a few.  If you have a topic you’d like to see discussed, please shoot me some ideas and I will be happy to incorporate them into this blog.

Have a wonderful day!
